Campaign Strategy

Before spending money on ads you need a clear plan. A campaign strategy is about figuring out the right approach for your business before anything goes live, so you are not just throwing budget at something and hoping it works.

I usually put a strategy together after completing an account audit, because the audit gives me a proper understanding of where things stand and what needs to change. But if you are starting from scratch and do not have any existing campaigns, I can build a strategy from the ground up based on your business, your audience and your goals.

What Goes Into a Strategy

A strategy covers everything you need to know before running your campaigns. That includes which platforms to advertise on and why, how to structure your campaigns and ad groups, what keywords or audiences to target, what kind of ads to run, how to allocate your budget across different campaigns and what kind of results you can realistically expect based on your industry and your spend.

I also factor in what your competitors are doing so we can identify gaps and opportunities that you might not have considered. There is no point running the same approach as everyone else if there is a smarter way to position your business.

Why Bother With a Strategy?

The businesses that get the best results from paid advertising are the ones that have a clear plan behind what they are doing. Without a strategy you end up making decisions reactively, changing things based on gut feeling rather than data, and often wasting money in the process.

A proper strategy gives you and me a shared plan to work from. It means we both know what we are trying to achieve, how we are going to get there and what success looks like. It also makes it much easier to measure progress because we have defined what we are aiming for upfront.

What You Get

You will receive a detailed document that lays out the full strategy in plain language. It covers the what, the why and the how so you can understand every recommendation I am making. I will walk you through it so you can ask questions and make sure you are comfortable with the approach before we put anything into action.

If you then want me to implement the strategy and manage your campaigns on an ongoing basis, we can move straight into that. Or if you would prefer to take the strategy and implement it yourself or hand it to someone else, that is completely fine too.
